Flying High

This year I’ve had the privilege to get acquainted with a local guy who owns an ultra-light. I’ve had the opportunity to go up with him twice. My first experience back in the spring was not very productive from a photographic standpoint. However, I did get to see an amazing moonrise!

About a month ago, I had the opportunity to go up a second time. This time I had enough good light and was better prepared with my gear. I do not consider myself an expert at aerial photography, but I feel for my experience and efforts I got a few good shots this time around. I can’t give you exact locations on some of these photos, but all were taken in the area around old/new Hwy 49, Lassiter Mill Road and Farmer area.

Camera specs: Nikon D90 with 70-300 mm VR lens

  1. Matt,

Those were great shots from the PPC. You’re correct, I do like the landing shot. Maybe we can take more sometime.

    Happy Holidays,
