Hunter’s Moon – October 2016
When it first came up Saturday evening, it was very red. Unfortunately by the time I got positioned to get my photo, it had already lost most of its color.
According to the Farmer’s Almanac, Native Americans also referred to the Hunter’s Moon as the Blood Moon or Sanguine Moon. Because crops were harvested in late September or early October, hunters could easily see fox and other animals feeding on fallen grains. ~MBShare on Facebook
