Today was Veteran’s Recognition Sunday at Flag Springs United Methodist Church. Poems were read, patriotic songs were sung, and a few our veterans stood and briefly spoke of their time in the military.

The Randolph County Honor Guard was present to lead the congregation in the Pledge of Allegiance. They performed a flag folding ceremony and also ended the service with “taps”. We have several veterans in our congregation representing all branches of the military. ~MB
