Below is a foot from a great horned owl. Measured in pounds per square inch (psi), the great horned owl has a grip strength of approximately 750 psi.

The Carolina Raptor Center near Charlotte, NC is a non-profit organization which specializes in rehabilitating injured birds of prey. I’ll post more photos in my next blog post. ~MB
