On a trip to the mountains, I found this awesome daylily blooming beside a country lane in Linville Falls.

Over the past couple of years I’ve acquired more knowledge of plants and animals, thanks largely in part to my time spent with Mike Chisholm. Mike is a self-taught naturalist, and knows as much about plants, animals and history as anyone I know. ~MB
