Thanks mostly in part to my friend Mike Chisholm, I’m slowly learning about some of the plants that we encounter on our many adventures in the Uwharries. When hiking down at the Russell Mine site, we happened across a perennial herb called wintergreen, a.k.a. as Pipsissewa. ~MB
